The 33 Big Stories of the Bible
The Bible is a great big book made up of 66 smaller books. And each of these God-breathed books work together to tell one big story. Below, you'll find the 33 parts of the whole story of the Bible.
Good World
In the beginning, God created a very good world.

Forbidden Fruit
Adam and Eve brought the disaster of sin into our world when they ate the forbidden fruit.

Snake Crusher
God promised to send a special son of Eve to defeat sin, death, and the devil.

Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob
God chose to use the family of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob to bless the whole world.

Great Promises
God promised to give Abraham's family a great blessing, a great nation, a great land, and to be a blessing to the whole world.

Great Nation
In the land of Egypt, the family of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob grew into the great nation of Israel.

Exit from Egypt
God sent a man named Moses to do mighty wonders and rescue his people from slavery in the land of Egypt.

God's Law
God met with his people atop a mountain and gave them the laws they were to live by.
• • •
40 Years of Wandering
Because the Israelties didn't trust him, God made the Israelites wander in the wilderness for 40 years.

God used a man named Joshua to lead his people to conquer the promised land of Canaan.

Judges
In the promised land, the Israelites repeated a sad cycle of sin. But time after time, they were rescued by God-powered saviors called Judges.

Kings
After the disasterous time of the judges, the Israelites asked God for a king to lead them.

King David
David was Israel's greatest king. God promised that his family would rule forever.

Divided Kingdom
Because of the wicked ways of their evil kings, the kingdom split into two half-kingdoms: Judah and Israel.

Prophets
God sent prophets to warn his people to turn from their sin. But the Israelites rarely listened to them.

Kingdoms Fall
Because their sin was so great, God let the kingdoms of Israel and Judah be destroyed by their enemies.

Return Home
After 70 years in Babylon, God kept this promise to bring the people of Judah back home.

400 Years of Silence
After the prophet Malachi died, 400 years passed where God didn't speak to his people.

Miracle Baby
God sent his Holy Spirit to give a miracle baby to a young woman named Mary.
• • •
Miracle Man
Mary's son Jesus was perfect. His mighty miracles proved he was God's Son.

Cross
Though he never did anything wrong, Jesus' enemies arrested him and nailed him to a cross.

Sin's Price Paid
On the cross, Jesus paid sin's price of forever death for us.

Rose Again
On the third day, Jesus rose from the dead.

Jesus the Snake Crusher
Jesus' amazing life, death, and resurrection proved that he was the promised snake crusher.

Forever Life
Anyone who believes the good news of Jesus will receive forever life.

Jesus Ascends
40 days after he rose from the dead, Jesus ascended to heaven. Angels promised he'd return.

Spirit Comes
God sent his Holy Spirit to live inside his disciples and give them power to share the good news.

Church Spreads
Powered by the Holy Spirit, the people of the church spread the good news all over.

Saul is Saved
Saul tried to destroy the church. But after meeting the risen Jesus, he spent his life sharing the good news.

Jesus Returns
Jesus has promised to return in the same way he left. He will come at a time we don't expect.
• • •
Forever Death
Jesus will divide all people like a shepherd divides sheep from goats. Those who didn't believe in him will be sent to forever death.
• • •
God's Kingdom
Those who believe in Jesus will be invited to enjoy forever life in his kingdom.
• • •
Perfect Planet
God will come to live forever with his people on a perfect planet, where every day will be the best day of their lives.

Forever life with God will never end. Who knows what marvelous plans God has for his people!
